| One tip I
would think you should use in the winter time use a jig with a pork frog it kills the
largemouth evey time good luck fishermen. |
| when
fishing for bass use a split tail jig with a shiny chrome weight right in the front of it |
| When
fishing for carp on a warm day if floating baits such as bread won't catch carp try a dry
such as a daddy long legs the carp will take this as it is more natural |
| If you love
bass fishing, put a bobber on your line with a live minow on the hook. Allow minow 2
feet of line. This tip works best in sping & summer. |
| Use corn to
catch bluegills |
When
fishing in saltwater and you have a dead shrimp, let the line out a little and reel it in
and then wiggle it some. I guarentee you'll catch something."Thats's what I did
and I caught a 3 1/2 ft Bonet Head Shark.
From Karl |
| Don't use a
bobber and let it sink, this works with all kinds of bass. |
| Take a suet
feeder and stuff bread and cheese in it and put it next to the bobber. It will atract more
fish |
| When you
are Trolling with a umbrella rig in salt water in the ocean you can catch alot of bluefish
and striped bass. The best tip is to keep your thumb on the line if you don't the line
will get tangled when letting line out. I tried this my self and cought over 30 bluefish!
If you don't have a boat you can cast off the beach. I garetee some fish for dinner. But
of corse you will need to know the tide, when, where, and how to do
it. GOOD
LUCK!!!!!!!!!! |
Baits to use that are the best
Striped bass- clams, crabs, bunker, or Herring, bloodworms, sandworms. Bluefish- squid
strips, little minnows, bunker, or herring
Largemouth bass- krayfish, night crawlers or worms, bugs, and little bait fish, or corn
Smallmouth bass- bugs, corn, worms, or some food bright like light colers for ex. corn or
pepperoni.
Perch- night crawlers, or worms and somtimes bugs.
Catfish- anything!
Bullheads (baby catfish)- anything.
Sunnys - anything.
Snappers- minnows or bait fish
Flounder / Fluke - bloodworms, sandworms, clams, squid strips. |
| A good
strategy for largemouth bass is tossing a frog 3 feet below the bobber on a steep drop
off. Another deadly strategy this time for smallmouth, is to cast a crayfish onto a shoal
without a bobber and wait for a smallie to hit it.the best time for fishing with these
techniques is just when the sun leaves the water to when it's almost dark out.If you don't
catch anything, that's why they call it fishing not catching. |
| I like to
use rubber worms alot and one of the things i like to do is cast it over a stump hanging
over the water so when you jig it it goes up and down and stays in one spot so when you
want to fish the same spot for a while you don't have to keep on casting. |
| If you keep
your line tight and always set the hook with a shiner you'll always get'em. |

| Two years
ago I ended using a bobber with a grasshopper. I don't use a bobber any more but I caught
a LOT of fish with a bobber. For beginers use a bobber and a grasshopper will catch you a
lot of fish. |
| It is a
good idea to fish in the morning or at night because it is nice and cool and the fish bite
more when it is cooler |
| Boil water
and cornmeal and add 2 tablespoons of pancake syrup. And one Tablespoon of extract
vanilla (for smell). Works great with Carp and Catfish. |
| When your
at a pond that has a whole lot of rocks in and around it try using a #10 hook with a small
square of cheese around the larger rocks that you can see. |
| When your
just learning to cast and can't quite hit your target try taking a large step
forward. If you are right handed step with your left foot and if your left handed
step with your right foot |
| When using
a Rat L Trap move the lure in a z motion then it will look more like a real minnow |
| If you are
trying to catch bluegail, you need to cast your line out by a live tree or really good
fertile soil. |
| Wait till
August. That's when the fish really bite |
| Other thing
bass like anything that shines. Do that and you will be fishing master. |
| While
making dough add a cheeslet . the smell will atract more fish!!! |
| My tip is
when you are using a black and white worm .Put the hook in between both colors. |
| CATFISH
TRICK: Take a bunch of chicken guts, liver, etc. and throw them all in a burlap bag. Toss
the bag about 10 feet from shore and wait. Soon the bag should be swarmed with catfish.
Then simply cast your line out into the flock and you should have one hooked in no time. |
| I have a
tip that might come in handy for catfishing. Channel cat live shrimp |
| Coat all
your artificial lures and even some live ones with bacon grease even use a piece of bacon
fat as bait, fish love the grease. |
When you
are fishing a top water popper, when you cast you should let it sit there for about 15
seconds or ontill the riples are gone.then popp it about 4-5 times then let it sit ans do
it over again .
Most of the time the bass will hit it when it first lands in the water when its just
sitting there. |
| For nesting
Bass use a tub jig with a little alkeseltser in it. It will drive the bass crazy and they
will strike hard, so hold on tight. |
Some fish
like...catfish+carp-love bread
perch+sunfish-like stinky cheese
chub+catfish-love hot dogs
largemouth bass-like minnows+night crawlers
smallmouth bass-like crickets |
| My
bass fishing tip is to always keep your eye on the pole.
